The Company

Birdwood Software Solutions was founded by its director Gerard van de Ven. Gerard arrived in New Zealand from the Netherlands in 2003 and immediately felt at home in Hawke's Bay. With almost 20 years of software development experience under his belt, Gerard began to teach at the local Polytechnic and at the same time started up his own business.

Gerard wanted to start a company where two things are paramount:

• Helping clients to get a solution that supports them to achieve their goals;
• Creating solutions of outstanding quality, with a personal guarantee.

Over the past few years the business has grown and is now well established. It has major clients in the Netherlands, the UK and in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
